March 2008 - The 2008 Halfmax Championship move to Las Vegas created quite a buzz across the nation. The qualifying season kicks off in just a few weeks and we have already seen record entries.

GENERAL ENTRY NOTE: The Halfmax Championship does feature a limited number of General Entry Slots. They are going fast! You DO NOT NEED TO qualify to register for one of these slots. Yes, you can convert a General Entry slot into a Qualifying slot if you qualify during the season. This may be the prefect way to reserve your spot at the Championship!

Welcome Harvest Moon Triathlon - A New Halfmax Championship Qualifying Event

We would like to welcome the Harvest Moon Triathlon to the Halfmax qualifying family.

The 9th annual Harvest Moon Long Course Triathlon takes place at the beautiful Aurora Reservoir. The race features a modest cash prize purse for the top performers, but it is the perks for the everyday triathlete that fill the race every year. From the high quality race sweatshirts, to the custom finishers medals, Specialized water bottles, lively race announcer, incredible police and fire department presence on the bike course, and the catered Bar-B-Que, the racers get a first-class race experience. Just 20 minutes from downtown Denver and Denver International Airport. The race is scheduled at the end of the season, when you're in your best shape of the year, and makes a great final tune-up before the Trisports.com USAT Halfmax National Championship!

2009 Long Course World Championship Slots

The TriSports.com USAT Halfmax National Championship is the official, national long-course championship, where the country’s top athletes will compete for championship titles and spots on Team USA. This Team will represent the United States at the World Championships.

The top 10 finishers in each age group (the most slots of any race in the nation) at the Championship will qualify for the 2009 Long Course Triathlon World Championship.

The TriSports.com USAT Halfmax National Championship and The Pumpkinman Triathlon will be hosted on the same day. The combined day of racing has been designated as the 2008 USAT Club National Championships. Clubs from across the country will be represented at the Championship, including the 4-time National Champions Columbia Multisport Club.

Is Your Club Coming? All three event distances will count towards the Club Championship titles.
