Who Tri’s Harder? offers three exciting events on the same day, at the same venue. Innsbrook Resort is located just minutes from St. Louis Missouri and is becoming one of the most celebrated multi-sport meccas in the Midwest. The resort covers 7,000 acres and features more than 80 non-motorized lakes. This gated community includes 125 miles of private roads for safe biking and running. The Resort offers a beautiful but challenging venue, just the way triathlon should be!
What makes this event so popular?
- Innsbrook Resort - This is simply one of the most spectacular multi-sport venues anywhere!
- The swim takes place in the clean/calm waters of Aspen Lake. A non-motorized lake!
- Last Swim Wave Option - Both Quartermax and Octomax will feature a last swim wave option for beginners.
Challenging Hills - Yes, those hills on the run course are challenging. Just the way triathlon was meant to be! The course is very shaded.
- The bike course travels the lightly traveled roads in the county. The first 5 miles of the course is inside the Resort.
- Post-race catering provided by Innsbrook Resort
- Custom age group awards from Les Bourgeois Winery
- New 2008 Finisher Item - Both Octomax and Quartermax finishers will get these!
- Technical Race Shirts from Zorrel
- Free Swim Clinic on Friday - Presented by TrainingBible Coaching
- TriSports.com gift certificates to the division champions!
- You don't find this list of features even at the BIGGEST and BADDEST triathlons!
Don't forget you can grab a few friends and
do this event as a RELAY!

The website has been updated with current event schedule.
UPDATED - MiniMax Aquathlon Information is Now Available!

S wim Course - The swim is held in clean, calm Lake Aspen (Innsbrook's no-boats rule allows us to offer one of the most pristine swims in the sport). You will swim counterclockwise, on a well supported one-loop course. The course is clearly marked with larger buoys at each turning point. We will offer our Last Swim Wave Option in both distances for those that want to avoid the turmoil and pressure associated with normal competitive wave starts.
Bike Course - The bike course is a loop that begins inside the Resort (about 5 miles/hilly), then heads onto primarily flat to rolling open roads. This is an open bike course, but the traffic is not heavy. Large arrow signs and volunteers will help you along your journey. The bike course is a real pleasure. Most of the course pavement is in fantastic condition.
Run Course - Yes, we have heard the run course is a bit challenging. We think just the way triathlon was meant to be. It has been called the Beauty and the Beast. The course is absolutely beautiful, 80% shaded and with a few hills ready to challenge even the best runners. Walking a moment or two on this course is nothing to be ashamed of! Well stocked aid stations every mile or less!
The run course is on paved and packed gravel roads. The run is staged entirely within Innsbrook Resort... local traffic only! Large arrow signs and volunteers will help you. When you do reach the finish line the sense of accomplishment will be so worth it!
Join us for our BIGGEST multi-sport party of the year!.
The 2008 Lake St. Louis Triathlon is CLOSED.
This may be your last chance for an open water triathlon in St. Louis area in 2008!
