One of the fastest sprint triathlons in the Midwest!
Yep, that's right. The course is lightning fast, including one of the best pool swims this side of Trizou. Based out of the Republic Aquatic Park, this sprint triathlon features everything, starting with a snake- style swim inside the water park and finishing with a pancake-flat run. Training for IM Branson 70.3? Starting Block Swim Clinic - August 29
Do you want to work on your swim for Ironman Branson 70.3? Do you just want to get faster and more confident in the water, regardless of the swim distance? If so, then check out the next Starting Block Swim Clinic. Mindless swimming is NEVER okay. You should always have a focus in mind, such as body balance, breathing, kicking, high elbow, etc. Every workout should include at least a couple of drills. And because of that, we want to encourage you to continually hone your swim stroke in order to reduce drag, making you faster in the water while reducing your overall effort. A few things covered in the clinics are: • Breathing • Pressing your chest • Kicking • Stroke • Catch-up drill with PVC or kickboard.
The August 29 Clinic is $10, and sign-up is at the Springfield-location only. For more info, call the store at: 417-890-7200.
